This was one of the best lessons I’ve learned in adulthood. When I was a child people hating me for no reason used to devastate me in its irrationality. Until I learned that other people’s irrational biases were not my responsibility, and that it was okay to not  care about their feelings or opinions, I had a pretty rough go of things.

This is Erik’s entire rational in life. 

Actually, really it should just be the Brotherhood’s creed.
